It has been a month since I last posted and that is mostly because the desire to post things online, even in this personal blog comes and goes much like the wind. Today is another beautiful day and over the last months the Blue Jays have been visiting more and making for some lively calls and songs. They do make a bit of a racket. The backyard Nature Preserve is doing well and this morning I was treated with a lot of frolicking by the squirrels as they went looking for the in-shell walnuts that I put out last night. There are 5 or 6 of them, I take it probably a family or whatever you call a group of squirrels, some may say a coven…LOL.
The native plants are doing well and the Black & brown-eyed Susans are almost taking over the garden, so I may have to move some plants in the Fall. All part of the experiment/experience as planting them was a new experience. Well, back to sitting and staring out of my study window.
